The hot air at the basement ceiling then goes up the stairs for the dwelling floor. I have smoke and CO detectors "on the way" (of warm air) from the stove to the stairs. So I am not sucking all CO or smoke up near the stove prior to it'd achieve a detector. In its place I force it tog
